H.L. For me, CULT OF FIRE is one of the most original black metal bands, always presenting a lot of different (ethno) influences and surprising elements. You never know exactly what you get and not always the songs are easily accessible. On this EP I even like the only non-metal track the most, the relaxed and charming "Chinnamasta Mantra". But "Death" for example is also great, presenting the straight black metal side of this unique band. Favorite track: Chinnamasta Mantra.

Avec Панихида, Батюшка renaît enfin de ses cendres et, bien que désormais seul (ou plus exactement entouré de deux chanteurs), Христофор accomplit un miracle. Il s'inscrit dans la continuité de Литоургиiа avec un black metal orthodoxe qui nous convie ici à une cérémonie dédiée aux morts. Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf

Tout est une question de perspective. En regardant la pochette d'Algleymi, on se dira : "c'est un constat d'échec de l'humanité face aux puissances cosmiques". Mais le gigantisme de cette silhouette est un signe que Misþyrming veut plutôt s'emparer de cette puissance et le black metal le confirmera très vite. Il est plus maîtrisé, massif et épique. Si le chant est déjà impressionnant, dégageant plus de haine, les guitares sont de leur côté absolument monumentales. Un chef-d'œuvre du genre ! Jordan Vauvert
